Building Zaiqa Retail Cash & Carry Cork’s largest ethnic Food Supermarket, in-store & online, with over 6000 products, about 3000 live products daily each manually having needed some change or another,
Firstly, I extracted all the products on a csv file from the in-store POS system, 6000 to be exact, with margins, cost,s suppliers, Etc.
Got those 6000 Products up onto Zaiqa ( Link at the end )
“Now, many of these items, which we later discovered needed to be changed, are now in public view. Additionally, all photos needed to be added, as the data is being fetched from a till system to a live public system. As we know, content is crucial so each photo had to be added to over 3000 products not only on Google but on Google business profile also, that’s over 6000 submissions alone! (But it’s done correctly and nearly completion) – #Time
All photos where tagged and filed down for SEO, products extracted from the website then put on Google business profiles, then onto Google merchant centre which now has 2500 ish products listed free, for ever, creating 8000 internal links now for Zaiqa, which will double and triple in time with more SEO etc.
- Google Search &Zaiqacork.com
- Google Merchant Centre
- Google Business Profile
10’000 products now exist – if each did 10 clicks per month that’s out 100k on this platform alone with a CTR ( Conversion ratio of about 1 in 290 on it’s absolute worst ) average sale volume then taken into account and then i will work down on your CTR _ into 1.2 Million worked back in a few years maybe a lot less depending on certain factors it should do this per year then per quarter, point here is it very achievable!!
Important parts: Also we set up Google analytics to track and manage this progress, Google site kit simplified built in version, Google search console to track more of our SEO based metrics, ,metrics showing that we’re coming up for 1000’s of key words, halal, meat, butchers etc. Not bad considering this is a brand new website, with only the core basis of seo done across all fronts and systems, taking my last paragraph as the business plan already being in motion
Next we set up:
1. Calls have grown
2. Directions have grown
4. You can now call to order, call now button attached on every page
5.1000’s of products added for cash payment or delivery
6.4000 photos added and unique pieces of content
8. Domain bought, and hosting set up
9. Authipay – AIB merchant services to keep the cost down on purchases no stripe costs etc. integrated
10. Automated system that updates and cross-links, and fetch’s product data
11. Logos & content all created by us
12. User-friendly
Currently we’re trying to integrate a Maps API Distance metric so that we can measure shipping costs in certain zones, for example 1 euro per km outside of 10km – Max zone, Free etc.!
All this in under 10 weeks and I had a holiday in between.
On the first day of our live integration, we had multiple orders from all over the country just from using the systems above, Louth, few in Dublin & different parts of Cork, showing extreme positivity, customer security, etc., straight away comfort buying, etc., was good. New sales for product searches, etc., over no ads [YET]. I tend not to do a lot of ads and try to get my clients to do a lot of cross-channel traffic sources, find what they then don’t use as much and ask them to promote that source. I like to focus on organic building but with this, we’re aiming for multiple orders regularly, so it will be a necessity for scaling, big ⚖️.
Next is the Automated system that Updates and cross links data from Woo too all till systems or vice versa showing order across the website and epos now system in the shop, keeping all order in stocks, this plug in Basically connects to our shop and when you add a product it shows on the till system does all yoir margins etc. Amd has no ongoing work, just a one time setup with live stock take, simplifying 1000s of product procurement feeding back and forward Live! No ongoing costs.
This website could now run on auto pilot in the next few weeks, would i recommend it no, would he lose as much as he had gained by doing this I think so but the fact is it could, and the till system automation would keep products online in stock and it would keep driving traffic threw the front door with a full catalog being found online that is long lasting, across search and maps and a website!
This website will be glowing in about 2 / 3 weeks, and was done like all projects keeping the business owner in the loop but getting it all just done! and whatever else was needed, everyone should win in the end, and ongoing then.
I think it’s time for breakfast. 😉
